Politics in Africa

Politicians are people who are paid to talk, discuss and argue in lieu of solving problems. I wonder what would happen if politicians are paid like modern business executives - according to performance.

Would they still speak politically, hedging their words or would they become blunt and speak their minds at every turn?

I also wonder what would happen if elected politicians are evaluated at fixed intervals. You know, just as students are given tests, midterm and final exams.

If African countries begin to evaluate their public servants and kick out those who aren't delivering on their promises, what would happen? Would politicians still give ridiculous promises or would they set their targets low and achieve them?

If you asked me, I prefer to have many small changes rather than pie in the sky promises.
